I really enjoyed your stories, and have had some similar experiences, from stealing pony rides and sneaking out, to wrecks and finding lumps (minus the caring husband). On a return visit for extra x-rays and ultrasound, the receptionist asked if I had a living will and did I want info. I said, "NO thanks", I didn't know as I was doomed just yet. I'm surprised I didn't get one of those creepy x-mas cards from the funeral home, like my parents used to get. I still have my lumpy breasts at least. I recently published my first e-book, Prickly Things, which I'm still formatting for print, and have notes for a second, but was worried whether I would have enough material. Your book brought back some memories for me, and I realized I have plenty. I used to read more, which always made me dream up stories (that I hope to recall), but got away from it due to neck and vision problems. With Kindle on pc, I can prop up my laptop and save my neck, dim the screen, and enlarge the print.Product details

this is one of the 1st books I ordered on my kindle. the title attracted me. while it was enjoyable and it did bring a smile to my face, occasionally; I was hoping for funnier. like Bossypants or something. Decent but not great.
loved this book. made me lol and brightened my day while reading. can't wait to read any other books by her.

Great, easy read. The visualizations that come to mind as I read this were something to behold. Definitely suggest this as a great book to give that one friend who is struggling or going through a rough spot. Looking forward to more light-hearted writings, fiction or non, from A. L. Elder.
Thus was an excellent book. I found myself laughing far more then I expected. But more than just laughter await you,I also found myself identifying with the stories. So not only was I entertained but I felt like the author was inside my head expressing some of the same thoughts and emotions I would feel in that situation.
I highly recommend it. Do yourself s favor, sit back and let yourself have a little fun.
I love reading Indie books! They are interesting, easy to read and there is just an honesty about them that you don't get from commercial books. This book was a collection of funny anecdotes that reminds us of how the trial and tribulations of our childhood are really the life lessons that carve the path to adulthood. Lighthearted and easy to relate to, I particularly related to blonde story, I was taken on a journey of laughter, love and memories. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who finds optimism a refreshing alternative to the typical whine of the daily grind! P.S. I actually know a mortician's beautician - interesting people!!
